I don’t know when the Better call some bitches shirt it is in the first place but grandfather rule ran out at one time and you can still see many of the old games from the 70s and before you’ll see players not wearing helmets it wasn’t mandatory at one time. concussions were simply part of the game I believe it was called having your bell rang, but I could be wrong on that one in the 1930s the padding and protection that hockey players wore were pretty skimpy. Also, even though seatbelts have been invented people, at least most people didn’t use them. Just to put things in perspective.

Goalies did not wear facemasks, and there was a lot less protection. Finally, at one time, certain famous hockey commentators, could make comments that were definitely not politically correct on a regular basis, and be praised for it.
